Recently I have watched three movies: Third Man on the Mountain, Hans Brinker or The Silver Skates and The Sound of Music, all based on books. Today I will focus on,


Third Man on the Mountain: 


Third Man on the Mountain is  a very good movie about a boy named Rudi who wants to be a guide on The Citadel. His Father attempted to climb it and died in the attempt.  Rudi lives with his Uncle and Mother. His Uncle is the best guide in the village and his Uncle has climbed all the mountains except the Citadel. In the village they say the mountain is cursed but Rudi still wants to climb it. After a series of fortunate events, he finds himself the third man on the mountain. I suggest it for 11+. It's based on 'Banner in the sky' by James Ramsey Ullman.

A gripping movie with laughs, a few tears, and suspense.
